Dear Friends
This is a letter for when you forget you’re holding light.
And thus there’s a quiet wonder in realising we don’t just walk toward the light we walk with it, within us.
Sometimes we imagine hope is something we have to chase down or borrow from someone stronger. But the truth is more intimate than that. Through Christ, hope has been kindled within you. You carry it like a hidden lantern, glowing behind your ribs, even when you cannot feel its warmth.
This world has a way of pressing in through noise, demands, loss, or distraction and we forget. We forget we are vessels of something eternal. We forget that our small lives are home to something sacred.
“We have this treasure in jars of clay, to show that this all-surpassing power is from God and not from us.”
— 2 Corinthians 4:7
You may feel like a fragile jar, chipped or tired. That’s okay. The light doesn’t depend on your perfection only your willingness to keep going, to keep carrying.
This letter is a reminder:
You hold a lamp within.
It’s not flashy or loud.
It doesn’t shout for attention.
But it guides you.
It warms others.
It shines even when you forget it’s there.
You don’t need to do anything grand today. Just pause long enough to remember who you are:
A bearer of light.
A carrier of sacred fire.
A small flame with a holy origin.
And if the day grows heavy, let this truth nestle deep into your chest:
God is not asking you to light the whole sky. Just to let Him light your heart.
Still walking with you,
Lisa Raie xox
