Dear friends
This letter is for the long seasons, the slow faithfulness, and the ones who stay. This is a letter about a presence that endures even when the road grows quiet, and nothing flashy remains.
There is no better quote than this that anchors my words here to thy soul;
“Some people make you feel less alone in the world just by being who they are.”
– Brené Brown
And so, it is that I speak of beginnings ~ first days, fresh starts, hopeful steps. But there’s something even more sacred about those who stay. Who keep showing up when the excitement fades. Who walk beside us even when we are quiet, sick, grieving, lost.
These are the “until the end” people. The ones who sit in hospital waiting rooms. Who keep calling even when the phone isn’t picked up. Who remember the anniversary of a loss. Who check on you, not for a response, but for love’s sake alone.
This is the kind of faithfulness that reflects Christ Himself.
Not just here for the light, but here for the long, dark hours too.
It’s not dramatic. It doesn’t seek recognition. But it is a holy kind of endurance and it changes us.
🎨 Art Prompt:
Draw a simple path, winding and soft, with No need for detail ~ just presence.
In this painting of mine, the simplicity of the red dirt path, the words “I’m not leaving” and “ here still” speak with a deep reverence.
✍🏻 Journal Prompt:
Who in your life has been a faithful presence someone who stayed when others faded?
What did their steadiness mean to you?
In what ways might you be called to offer this long-kindness to someone else?
Let this be a space for honouring and remembering those who remain.
And So I Close With This Prayer Whisper using words from scripture;
“And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”
– Matthew 28:20
Lord,
Thank You for the ones who stay. For the long love, the quiet presence, the steady hands.
Shape me into someone who doesn’t walk away when the light dims. Make me faithful like You here, even until the end.
Amen 🙏
Dear friends, this letter has carried a stillness that asks to be sat with. Let this be an invitation to sit and rest with the deepest parts of you.
Till tomorrow,
